Soccer Recap: Owyhee Wins High-Profile Match Against Caldwell

Owyhee faced Caldwell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Storm's defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 2-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Dane Lau and Yanis Vendee scored both of Owyhee's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Owyhee and bumps their season record up to 12-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matches. As for Caldwell, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-5-2.

Coming up, Owyhee will take on Rocky Mountain at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Caldwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
