Soccer Game Preview: Dover vs. West Branch

The Dover Crimson Tornadoes will head out to challenge the West Branch Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Dover put up the most goals they have all season on Saturday. They never let New Philadelphia get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Dover in their matchups with New Philadelphia: they've now won seven in a row.

Dover's offense was hitting New Philadelphia from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Taylor Vaughan led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, West Branch got the win against Ursuline on Monday by a conclusive 5-0. The result was nothing new for West Branch, who have now won seven contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Dover's win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for West Branch, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0-2.
