Soccer Game Preview: Dyer County vs. Dyersburg

Dyer County hasn't had much luck against Dyersburg recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Dyer County Choctaws will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dyersburg Trojans at 5:30 p.m. This will be Dyer County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Last Thursday, Dyer County came up short against Union City and fell 5-3. The loss was the Choctaws' first of the season.

Tyler Fowlkes and Hunter Anderson scored all three of Dyer County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Dyersburg managed to keep up with Munford until halftime last Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Dyersburg came up short against Munford, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly three goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dyer County fell to 1-1-1. As for Dyersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3-2.
