Last Thursday, Eleanor Roosevelt came up short against Laurel and fell 70-58.
Parkdale can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Central 63-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Parkdale has posted yet this season.
Among those leading the charge was Jacob Wilson, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mark Freeland, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Eleanor Roosevelt bumped their record down to 1-10-1 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Parkdale, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
Eleanor Roosevelt took their victory against Parkdale when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 68-46. Will Eleanor Roosevelt repeat their success, or does Parkdale have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
