Basketball Recap: Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers vs. Central Christian Academy Chargers

Indiana School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They fell 45-38 to the Central Christian Academy Chargers. The Deaf Hoosiers lost against the Chargers in their previous head to head back in February of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 77-40 score last time.

Central Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Josiah Riggins, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 22 points and five boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Riggins has scored at least a third of Central Christian Academy's points. Corian Walker was another key player, putting up six points and ten rebounds.

Indiana School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Central Christian Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-18 record.

Indiana School for the Deaf has already played their next game, a 59-22 loss against River City Jaguars on the 28th. As for Central Christian Academy, they will challenge Providence Cristo Rey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
