Softball Recap: Frontier Titans vs. Centennial Golden Hawks

Frontier had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 12-11 to make it four. They fell 5-2 to the Centennial Golden Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Wednesday.

Natalia Duran made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

As for Centennial, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.

On Centennial's side, Madison Cabrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. Cabrera has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lundyn Harrison, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Alicia Tackitt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
