Baseball Game Preview: Morningside Monarchs vs. Inglewood Sentinels

For the second straight game, Morningside will face off against Inglewood. The Monarchs will head out to square off against the Sentinels at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Morningside has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 26.

Morningside came up short against Inglewood on Tuesday, falling 19-3.

For Inglewood's part, Omar Robles was a standout: he got three hits. The dominant performance also gave Robles a new career-high in doubles (two). Wesley Jackson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Robles wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Inglewood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Morningside's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Inglewood, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9.
