Basketball Recap: Ballard Bruins vs. Beth Haven Bearcats
Even though the Beth Haven Bearcats scored an imposing 66 points on Thursday, the Ballard Bruins still came out on top. Ballard walked away with a 78-66 win over the Bearcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ballard.
Beth Haven lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordan Harris, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Harris hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Michael Ray Stinnett, who scored 16 points.
Ballard's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Beth Haven, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballard will take on the Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Doss will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bruins are ranked 89th). As for Beth Haven, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the at 4:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
