Volleyball Recap: Highland Beats Marion for Their Fourth Straight Win

Highland waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Marion Wildcats. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2021.

Kallie Hubbard paced Highland's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hubbard got some help from Lucy Becker and her 12 assists. Becker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Highland's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Highland and Marion will both be playing Anna-Jonesboro the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
