A Season-Best Effort from Miles Woods Leads Carl Hayden Community over Youngker

Carl Hayden Community came up short on Friday despite Miles Woods delivering his best game to date. Woods rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 57 yards.

Greenway was led to victory by Tyler Mcnally, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcnally threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.

Mcnally is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Peoria on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mcnally saw the Panthers), he threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt.

Rounding off our Top Five is Carmelo Goe of Moon Valley. Goe picked up 0.5 sacks, made 14 total tackles (4.0 for loss), and defended a pass. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

With the loss, Moon Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3. Goe and Moon Valley will square off against Youngker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
