Preview: Pitman Pride vs. Gregori Jaguars
The Pitman Pride will head out on the road to face off against the Gregori Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pitman is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Pitman earned a 22-10 win over Enochs.
Andrew Azevedo looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Meanwhile, Gregori humbled Modesto with a 48-6 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.
Michael Marsden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Marsden was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards. Logan Apodaca got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Pitman's win pushed their record up to 2-6, while Gregori's bumped their own up to the opposite: 6-2.
Pitman came up short against Gregori in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 28-21. Can Pitman avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
