Baseball Recap: Spanish Fork Finds Playoff Glory Versus Brighton

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Spanish Fork had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Brighton Bengals. This was a revenge game for the Dons: when they faced off against the Bengals on Friday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Spanish Fork's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nixon Warren, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Spanish Fork is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-17 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Brighton, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 28-4 record.
