Baseball Game Preview: Leake Academy Rebels vs. Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders

For the second straight game, Leake Academy will face off against Park Place Christian Academy. The Rebels will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Leake Academy made easy work of Park Place Christian Academy and carried off a 14-6 victory. Considering the Rebels have won four matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Will Garner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Garner was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Tanner Walsworth was a standout: he scored three runs while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Majure Chandler was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Leake Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Park Place Christian Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
