Softball Recap: Luck/Frederic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Webster/Siren on Tuesday, Luck/Frederic came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell 9-6 to the Turtle Lake/Clayton Titans on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

Kenna Chenal led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Sophie Eder, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Luck/Frederic's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Luck/Frederic will venture away from home to face off against Grantsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Turtle Lake/Clayton, they will head out to challenge Winter/Birchwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
