Volleyball Recap: Davis County Comes Up Short

Davis County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on Tuesday.

Davis County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

Davis County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Albia on the 20th. As for Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mt. Pleasant on the 20th.
