Volleyball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Blue Hill Bobcats
Lawrence-Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Hill Bobcats. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Lawrence-Nelson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Blue Hill work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 27-25, 17-25, 25-15.
Brynn Harrison paced Lawrence-Nelson's offense, picking up 13 kills. Harrison got some help from Maddy Laughlin and her 15 assists. Harrison was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Lawrence-Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Blue Hill, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-19.
Lawrence-Nelson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against High Plains on the 16th. As for Blue Hill, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Deshler on the 16th.
