Basketball Recap: Carroll Academy Victorious

Carroll Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 51-42 win over the Indianola Academy Colonels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-37 back in November.

Several Colonels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ty Killabrew, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points. Tristen Bradshaw was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.

Carroll Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Indianola Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Carroll Academy and Indianola Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Rebels see the court they'll take on Delta Streets Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 16, 2026. As for Indianola Academy, their break will end when they face North Delta at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
