Soccer Recap: Peninsula Catholic Comes Up Short

After soaring to five goals the game before, Peninsula Catholic was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 on September 12th.

Peninsula Catholic's goal came courtesy of Truitt Smith, who's now up to two this season.

Peninsula Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4-1 record this season. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they moved to 5-6-1 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, Peninsula Catholic and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy will both be playing Walsingham Academy the next time they take the pitch. The Knights will host the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
