Softball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

The River Valley Vikings didn't have quite enough to beat the Olentangy Braves on Monday and fell 7-5.

River Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Parthemore, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Kam Fowler was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

River Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-6 record this season. As for Olentangy, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

River Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 defeat against Johnstown-Monroe on the 12th. As for Olentangy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Mt. Vernon on the 13th.
