It was a proper cat-fight when Spring Garden took on Cedar Bluff on Friday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Brady Ruark was his usual excellent self, rushing for 157 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. He has become a key player for Spring Garden: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

The win made it two in a row for Spring Garden and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.0 points over those games. As for Cedar Bluff, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Spring Garden will venture away from home to face off against Appalachian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Cedar Bluff, they will host Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
