Stanton hadn't done well against Oakland-Craig recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won four matches in a row.

The victory didn't come easy: Oakland-Craig scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Bridget Marotz paced Stanton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Marotz got some help from Bergan Pohlman and her 24 assists.

Stanton's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Oakland-Craig, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Stanton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Wayne on the 2nd. As for Oakland-Craig, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on the 2nd.
