Softball Recap: Grandview Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Grandview waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Blooming Grove Lions a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Zebras have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grandview's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Blooming Grove, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-3.

Grandview will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
