Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. V.R. Eaton Eagles

For the second straight game, Trinity will face off against V.R. Eaton. The Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so V.R. Eaton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Trinity took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past V.R. Eaton 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

For V.R. Eaton's part, Hayden Sawyers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Heller, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

V.R. Eaton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Trinity, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 13-7-2.
