North Montgomery had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the South Vermillion Wildcats as they made off with a 7-1 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

North Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, North Montgomery will take on North Putnam at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be North Montgomery's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for South Vermillion, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sullivan at 5:00 p.m. on September 4.
