Football Preview: Interlachen Rams vs. Bell Bulldogs

The Interlachen Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Bell Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Interlachen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Bell likes a good challenge.

Interlachen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 36-24 win over Stanton.

Jaquevis Nixon went supernova for Interlachen, rushing for 103 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Nixon has posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Bronson 53-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Landin Williams and Kaleb Williams. Landin rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns while Kaleb rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Landin's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. Aiden Houston was another key rusher, rushing for 53 yards and two touchdowns.

Bell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 308 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 205 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Bell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.2 points per game. As for Interlachen, their record is now 4-7.

Interlachen ended up a good deal behind Bell when the teams last played back in October, losing 42-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Williams, who rushed for 267 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Now that Interlachen knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
