Volleyball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Falls to Oglethorpe County in First Game of Season

Washington-Wilkes kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oglethorpe County Patriots. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

The win (which was Oglethorpe County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Coincidentally, Washington-Wilkes and Oglethorpe County will both be playing Monroe Area the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Purple Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
