Basketball Game Preview: Midway Panthers vs. Cedar Hill Longhorns

Midway is 0-7 against Cedar Hill since November of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Midway Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Cedar Hill Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Midway ended up a good deal behind Harker Heights and lost 63-47. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Knights are ranked 100th).

Meanwhile, Cedar Hill entered their match against Duncanville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Cedar Hill came up short against Duncanville, falling 55-34. The game marked the Longhorns' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Cedar Hill suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 24-8. As for Midway, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.

Midway suffered a grim 58-32 defeat to Cedar Hill in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Midway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
