Soccer Game Preview: Estacado vs. Snyder

The Estacado Matadors will face off against the Snyder Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Snyder took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Estacado, who comes in off a win.

If Estacado beats Snyder with three goals on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Estacado came out on top against Dumas by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Matadors.

Aubriana Betancur and Destini Charles-Hernandez scored all three of Estacado's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Snyder was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Legacy, falling 5-0.

Estacado's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Snyder, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Estacado might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Snyder in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Estacado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
