Softball Recap: Lumberton Pirates vs. Heide Trask Titans
Lumberton won the last time they faced Heide Trask and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Titans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.
Norah Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Ava Hanna was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Leea Wilkins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lumberton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
