Baseball Recap: Highland Rams vs. West Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland). They put the hurt on the West Panthers with a sharp 10-1 victory on Tuesday. The Rams not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29, 2024 (when they won 12-1).
Porter Rockwood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Highland got a massive performance out of Aidan Ashby, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Ashby has posted since back in March of 2024. Matthew Smith was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.
Highland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only managed two hits.
