It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but La Cueva had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Las Cruces Bulldawgs. The victory was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on 21 straight.

Liliana Montoya made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Genesis Jaramillo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Eardley, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

La Cueva's win bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Las Cruces, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season.

As of now, neither La Cueva nor Las Cruces have any future games scheduled.
