Preview: Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves vs. Dayton Bulldogs
After four games on the road, Tekoa-Rosalia is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Dayton Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Tekoa-Rosalia pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valley Christian.
Isaac Bone put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. He scored a full 46.4% of Tekoa-Rosalia's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brian Place, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Dayton had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 victory over Touchet on Tuesday. Dayton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tekoa-Rosalia's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Dayton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-7.
