Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kenna Hagan and Breckyn Layne Veskerna Lead Amherst to Victory

Amherst entered their tilt with Elm Creek on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Buffaloes by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Amherst easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19.

Amherst was led to victory by Breckyn Layne Veskerna and Kenna Hagan. Layne Veskerna had eight digs, while Hagan had nine assists.

Amherst's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Elm Creek, they moved to 15-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Amherst has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ansley/Litchfield on the 14th. As for Elm Creek, after both having extra time off, they and St. Patrick's will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
