Basketball Recap: Dulaney Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Dulaney won the last time they faced Parkville and things went their way on Monday too. The Dulaney Lions had just enough and edged out the Parkville Knights 48-45. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Knights are ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parkville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aion Lane, who en route to 15 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Derion Thomas was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Dulaney pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Parkville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Dulaney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parkville, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Dundalk at 12:00 p.m. Dundalk has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three contests.
