Softball Recap: Pequot Lakes Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Six must be Pequot Lakes's lucky number: they beat Foley with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Patriots walked away with a 6-3 win over the Falcons. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Pequot Lakes pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Foley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pequot Lakes will square off against Osakis at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Foley, they will head out to challenge Little Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Flyers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
