Softball Recap: Coral Glades' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Coral Glades walked away with it. They came out on top against the Stoneman Douglas Eagles by a score of 5-1 on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Haleigh Thomas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Briana Escobar, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
