Baseball Game Preview: Summit Academy Bears vs. Providence Hall Patriots

The Summit Academy Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Providence Hall Patriots at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Hall took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Summit Academy, who comes in off a win.

Summit Academy was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past Duchesne 9-7. The Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Trace Gedicks was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Talin Hill, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Summit Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Meanwhile, Providence Hall might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Bonneville who claimed the real prize. Providence Hall fell just short of Bonneville by a score of 6-5.

Jordan Black was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season. Ayden Rose was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Providence Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Summit Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Summit Academy might still be hurting after the 16-6 loss they got from Providence Hall when the teams last played on Friday. Can Summit Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
