Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Falls Short of Madison County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jefferson County can now relate to. They lost 21-6 to the Madison County Cowboys on Tuesday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 21-0 to the Cowboys when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ja'Lon Crumity was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Jefferson County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 4-18 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Levi Carrol, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.
