Basketball Recap: GREEN Upstate Takes a Loss

GREEN Upstate was the 55-51 winner over Thornwell when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The GREEN Upstate Owls took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thornwell Saints on Tuesday. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

GREEN Upstate's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Thornwell, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. GREEN Upstate will challenge Whitmire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Thornwell, they will square off against Abbeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Abbeville will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Thornwell surely won't give up without a fight.
