Lexington and West Holmes are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Minutemen will face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lexington comes in on four and West Holmes on five.

Lexington will bounce into Friday's game after beating Mansfield Senior, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Minutemen took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-6 victory over the Tygers. Given the Minutemen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Tygers are ranked 463rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for West Holmes on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Wooster out of the water with a 39-6 final score. The Knights pushed the score to 32-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Generals had little chance of recovering from.

West Holmes' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.

Lexington didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against West Holmes in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 19-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Minutemen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
