Softball Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mansfield Christian on Thursday, St. Paul came back down to earth. The Flyers fell 7-2 to the Huron Tigers on Saturday. The Flyers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

St. Paul saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taegan Mansfield-Bush, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Huron, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Paul will face off against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Flyers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Huron, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Galion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
