Softball Game Preview: Manistique Emeralds vs. St. Ignace Saints

The Manistique Emeralds will venture away from home to square off against the St. Ignace Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Manistique is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Manistique lost 18-3 to Rudyard on Wednesday.

Manistique saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Rice, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, St. Ignace scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Newberry by a score of 15-13.

Maggie Massey led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Halberg, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Manistique's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Ignace, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
