Baseball Game Preview: Campbell Indians vs. Bland Tigers

Campbell is 0-7 against Bland since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Campbell Indians will be playing at home against the Bland Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Campbell has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Campbell is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 15-0 to Bland.

For Bland's part, they got a big performance out of Jackson Taylor, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Blankenship, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Bland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Campbell struck out six times.

Bland's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Campbell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2.

Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Campbell has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .465. However, it's not like Bland struggles in that department as they've averaged .527. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
