Preview: Plainview Indians vs. Lone Grove Longhorns

Plainview is 9-1 against Lone Grove since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The pair will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Plainview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.

After a string of ten wins, Plainview's good fortune finally ran out. They fell 43-34 to Duncan.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Marya Southerland, who scored eight points along with two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jacelyn Hammon, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Lone Grove lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Latta on the road and fell 46-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lone Grove has scored all season.

Plainview's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3. As for Lone Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Plainview strolled past Lone Grove in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 56-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plainview since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
