Football Recap: Edison Takes a Loss

Edison fell victim to St. Joseph and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Knights and fell 28-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Knights are ranked 156th).

Kingston Johnson threw for 111 yards on 17 of 25 attempts. Jharon Biddix was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards. On the ground, Michael Padilla rushed for 41 yards.

Leading St. Joseph to victory were Grayson Gaines and Jack Heaslet. Gaines gained 205 total yards and two touchdowns, while Heaslet threw for 224 yards and one TD. 101 of those passing yards were hauled in by Dominick Rucobo.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Joseph, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Edison has already played their next game, a 48-30 loss against Buchanan on the 4th. As for St. Joseph, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-6 win against Hanford on the 4th.
