George Washington Prep won the last time they faced Jordan and things went their way on Monday too. The Generals put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 17-6 win. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 11 runs or more this season.
Aracely Gonzalez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up six earned runs off six hits. Gonzalez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.
In other batting news, Holland Allen was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Teaka Evans was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs, two RBI, and one double.
George Washington Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.1 runs over those games. As for Jordan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
