Highland Springs posted their biggest win since January 24, 2024 on Friday. They blew past the Armstrong Wildcats 71-34. Given the Springers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Wildcats are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Highland Springs is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points per game. As for Armstrong, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland Springs will host Bruton at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Armstrong, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Patrick Henry at 7:30 p.m.
