Softball Recap: Bristol Eastern Takes a Loss

Bristol Eastern was the 6-0 winner over Lewis Mills when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers came up short against the Spartans on Monday, falling 18-3.

Bristol Eastern saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gia Hatcher, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Julia Brunetti, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Bristol Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Lewis Mills, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Bristol Eastern will square off against Maloney at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Lewis Mills, they will challenge Simsbury at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
