Ringwood gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They never let the Covington-Douglas Wildcats get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The Red Devils were shut out 58-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Red Devils were just returning the favor.

Covington-Douglas now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Ringwood will host Yale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Covington-Douglas, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Garber at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
