Coral Glades suffers eighth straight loss on the road

Recap: Coral Glades Jaguars vs. Flanagan Falcons

The Coral Glades Jaguars suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 47-10 loss at the hands of Flanagan. While losing is never fun, Coral Glades can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while Flanagan is ranked 224th).

Flanagan found their leader in underclassman D?naela Myers, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Myers is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Melissa Ayebah was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals.

Coral Glades bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Flanagan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coral Glades will take on Stranahan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stranahan comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Flanagan, they will be playing at home against Somerset Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
